Packing strips are designed for nasal packing as drainage wicks for boils and abscesses, for dental packing, or as packing for open or infected wounds. Used in the operating room, surgi-centers, oral surgery, nursing homes and emergency rooms. The ¼" size is especially useful in the dentist's office.

Petrolatum Gauze Dressing

A sterile, non-adhering primary dressing, packaged in convenient peel-open, tamper proof packages. Available in a wide range of standard sizes.

U.S.P. -U.S.P. Absorbent Gauze, impregnated with U.S.P. Petrolatum.
Non-adhering -Clings and conforms to the wound without sticking. A comfortable, soothing hypoallergenic dressing.
Occlusive - Inhibits loss of body fluids and helps to protect the wound site from contamination. A single layer provides effective coverage.

When to use Petrolatum Gauze
Because of the physiological neutral nature of petrolatum, it can be used on any non-draining wound, including skin grafts, circumcision, abrasions, burns, umbilical bandage, chest tube incision, fistulas, stomas or sub mucous resections.

Oil Emulsion Gauze Dressings

Impregnated with U.S.P. Petrolatum in an emulsion blend, the dressing is non-adhering, and permits flow of exudates without sticking to the wound.The fabric is knitted cellulose acetate, which allows exudates to flow freely through the porous knitted fabric into an absorbent secondary dressing, thus minimizing maceration.The fabric has an excellent stretching ability to conform, without sticking to healing tissue, thereby promoting aeration, and patient comfort.
INDICATIONS
Oil Emulsion Gauze should be used on any draining wound including: skin ulcers, burns, infected areas, suture lines, lacerations, colostomies, episiotomy incisions. Use directly on the wound, beneath an absorbent secondary dressing.
Oil Emulsion Gauze is a primary dressing packaged in an easy open, tamperproof, and peel able clear poly pouch. The product is sterile and available in the following sizes:
